20th December- What's in a name?

Winterval- an amalgam of 'winter' and 'festival', keeps people of all faiths happy, apparently.

Midwinter Celebration- see above

Xmas- a contraction of Christmas is just a sloppy shortening of the word (and no justification for actually saying 'xmas')

It would appear that people like the trappings of the season but not the name. It's my faith's festival- I think I'll just call it Christmas.
