Advent Calendar Day Twenty Two

Today is the winter solstice. It's quite amusing that several new age pagans sought to celebrate the solstice and turned up at Stonehenge early. The word solstice means ‘sun stands still’. So for a few days around 22nd December (the solstice can occur on either the 21st or 22nd) the sun will appear to rise and set at exactly the same places.
