The UK- the fattest country in Europe

In Italy, 8% are obese.
In France, 9%.
Ireland, German and Spain about 12%.

In the UK 24% of the population are clinically obese.

Do we? I'm not so sure. Perhaps the German emergency services had consulted the www and stumbled across this blog where they might have read something like:

"Gelatine, Animal derivatives, EEK!"

the bbc web site had some picture of obese people the other day - they looked fine to me - certainly less arouynd the middle than me - so maybe we've got our deinitions a bit too black and white - or maybe I'm in denial.

well the definition of obese is pretty much set in stone across europe. I think I would be classified as obese using the criteria.
