I think there's a difference between saying us as humans having nothing to offer and that God working in us means we have lots to offer. As you say, it's just going for the punchy get in and shock 'em approach. I thought it rather humble and honest which is why I shared it! Nothing more!
... hhmmm... you might have a worry point there Joolian. Think of self flagellationists - if they do that to themselves think of what they might be prepared to do to other people!
