Unfortunately I heard this morning that a childhood friend committed suicide at the age of 44. Words fail me...

I lost a friend a few years ago, not from suicide but from an accident - none the less well missed.

Thank you. She was a friend so long ago that I have barely thought about her for 25 years. I think that's part of the problem. Such a horrible way to die for all involved.
