Kids in Care

Barnardo's are at a very interesting point at the moment. They seem to be (visibly) less and less about asking for money and more and more about campaigning and being controversial. This is interesting to me because in my newish role for YMCA, I would like to do exactly the same.
Martin Narey, head of Barnardo's says in the Sunday Telegraph
social workers should remove more children from their parents if they were believed to be in danger.

Original article here.
Thinking of my letter to Charles Clarke (to which I have only just received an acknowledgement not even a reply) to be found in December's blogs, if we could only improve the outcomes of kids in care then social workers wouldn't be so hesitant to leave them in home situations that are less than ideal.
